Lexington Triathlon added to summer events



LEXINGTON -- The first-ever Lexington Triathlon will take place on Saturday, July 26 in Lexington.

The triathlon includes a one-mile swim in Lake Huron, an 11-mile bike ride, and a 5K run.

This event, sponsored by ProStaff Physical Therapy, PLLC and the Lexington Business Association, is designed for beginners in multi-sport racing as well as more experienced racers.

The triathlon is open to ages 14 and older who register under individual or team categories. Awards will be given to the top three male and female participants in designated age groups and teams.

Registration cost per individual is $35 and $15 for each team member participant. All proceeds will benefit Croswell-Lexington School Athletics. The registration deadline is July 12 and is limited to 200 total participants.
